Guest lecture by Prof. Dr. Günter Leypoldt (University Heidelberg): Literary Prestige and the Laureate Position in Cultural Space

We would like to invite you to the lecture "Literary Prestige and the Laureate Position in Cultural Space" by Prof. Dr. Günter Leypoldt (University Heidelberg). The lecture will take place on Thursday, July 11, from 5.00 to 6.30 p.m. in room H 303. This lecture looks at literary prestige from the perspective of a new theory of value. It argues that today’s system of literary prizes has evolved from an older socio-institutional formation that I will call the “laureate position” in cultural space.
