Dr. Anke Koebach
I am a postdoctoral researcher and psychologist specialized on trauma and aggression at the University of Konstanz, vivo international and the Psychiatrische Dienste Aargau. My research focus is on violence and its mental consequences and how these can be mitigated through evidence-based treatment. I have implemented clinical trials and published various articles that corroborate evidence and rationale of Narrative Exposure Therapy and co-developed a community intervention for the treatment of traumatized communities. My latest work further investigates the epigenetic changes related to trauma treatment. In addition to my clinical and scientific work, I am specialized in the planning and implementation of projects that aim to disseminate and scale up evidence-based interventions (scientific transfer; Rwanda, DRC, Senegal, Brazil).
