Study Exchange combined with a Double Degree-Option
Presentation of the programme
The department offers, in cooperation with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, a double degree option of the master's programme in Politics and Public Administration.
Rutgers University is located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, at approximately one hour distance of New York City. Usually, students coming from Constance are enrolled as graduate students. Based on that enrollment and on individual agreements after arrival, students have the opportunity to earn a master's degree.

Fields of Specialization
The exchange to Rutgers is open for students from all three specializations of the MA programme in Politics and Public Administration. At Rutgers, three departments offer study places to Konstanz' students:
- Political Science Department
- School of Management und Labor Relations
- Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy

Length of study exchange
Students can take part in an exchange to Rutgers either during the first year of their master's studies or during the second year. The study exchange starts always at the end of August and runs until mid-May. An extension until the end of July can be necessary for students pursuing an MA degree in the US..
Tuition Fees
During the entire exchange period, students have to stay enrolled at the University of Konstanz. Each semester, they have to pay the administrative fees of € 179.
Students selected by the University of Konstanz for an exchange at Rutgers do not have to pay tuition fees in the US while stuxdiyng there. However, it is possible that students are asked to purchase a US-health insurance.
