Prof. Dr. Christina Zuber has published a blog post titled "Capturing the pessimists: How nationalists exploit status concerns in elections" on the London School of Economics' EUROPP blog about her publication. Prof. Dr. Marius Busemeyer was appointed to the Commission of Inquiry "Crisis-proof Society" of the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament. The commission of enquiry is to develop recommendations for action to make the Baden-Württemberg community more resilient and crisis-proof for the future. On Saturday, at a demonstration against Russia's military attack on Ukraine, Jun. Prof. Dr Steffen Eckhard gave a speech calling for solidarity with Ukraine. In addition to personal anecdotes, he named various ways in which staff and students can actively help. The speech can be read here.

Jun.-Prof. Dr. Jan Vogler, along with a colleague, received the Kellogg/Notre Dame award for the best paper in Comparative Political Science from the Midwest Political Science Association for his article entitled "Pandemics and Political Development - The Electoral Legacy of the Black Death in Germany."
