Sophia Stutzmann (*1996) studied International Cultural and Business Studies with a focus on economics and political science at the University of Passau. Subsequently, she completed a dual master’s degree in European Affairs with a focus on Economics and Public Policy as well as Political Economy of Europe at Sciences Po Paris and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
In the course of her studies, Sophia gained practical experience during internships at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations in New York, at the Ifo Institute’s Center for the Economics of Education in Munich and at the Research Service of the European Parliament in Brussels.
Since October 2021 Sophia is an independent doctoral researcher at the Graduate School of the Social and Behavioural Sciences and at the working group of Prof. Dr. Marius Busemeyer.
Research interests
Comparative political economy, labour markets, the political economy of technological change, welfare state research, inequality, comparative capitalism, as well as education policy.
