The second workshop of the "Lehre hoch n" program, June 4-6, 2018, focused on the embeddedness of innovative teaching approaches in the larger context of the University. Program components included a stakeholder analysis and a change management approach.

As part of a special issue on "Digital government an public management", Professor Mergel's article "Open innovation in the public sector: drivers and barriers for the adoption of Challenge.gov" was published in Public Management Review.
On February 13, 2018 Professor Mergel presented her research findings on big data and data science approaches in the public sector at the Foresight Center, the Parliament of Estonia's Think Tank, Estonia, Tallinn.
