Open Government Dialog - Documentation
06.07.2017
The Open Government concept aims to make the work of politics, government, administration and the judiciary more open, transparent, participatory and cooperative. This approach is based on the recognition that government services become more effective if users and beneficiaries are systematically involved. Thanks to new technical possibilities, citizens today can also be better informed about political decisions and involved in opinion-forming, implementation and evaluation. The aim of the 1st Open Government Dialogue Konstanz 2017 was to take a first step in this direction. In addition to the interesting and informative guest contributions by Prof. Dr. Ines Mergel from the Department of Politics and Administration at the University of Constance, the IT and Digitisation Officer of the City of Ulm, Christian Geiger and his colleague Stefan Kaufmann from the Ulm "Verschwörhaus", the event also provided space for valuable, mutual exchange between all participants.
