Taiwo Oludare Abioye
I moved to Germany with my family in 2021, and have since been working as a Data Manager at the Chair of Development Policy of Prof. Dr. Anke Hoeffler, with my core role focusing on creation, administration and maintenance of quality datasets for the group. I graduated from the statistics department, University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2001. Since graduation, I have worked in the professional services and consulting industries for more than 15 years. I gained my first data analytics experience as a data analyst in DC Consult; I also had a short stint as data manager with Practical Sampling International where I carefully provided top-notch deliverables to stakeholders.
I served as project manager, data management & quality control team-lead and research executive in Ipsos Nigeria, where I was responsible for planning, implementation and management of fieldwork, quality control and data analysis of several surveys and research projects in Nigeria and in Sub-Saharan Africa. Notable among projects successfully worked on are Afrobarometer, NCVS, operation octopus (+500K sample size), PATHS2, and Access to Finance, among others.
