Jun.-Prof. Dr. Julio Zambrano
I'm a Junior Professor of Public Administration. Previously I held postdoctoral positions at the Chair of Environmental and Climate Policy of the Technical University of Munich and the Getulio Vargas Foundation Sao Paulo School of Business Administration. Before obtaining my Ph.D. in Public Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington, I served as a tenured civil servant for the Ecuadorian government. I also hold a bachelor degree in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University in Ecuador.
My research focuses on public sector innovation, channels of participatory democracy, collaborative governance, strategic planning, performance management, and organizational performance. My research domain has included local governments in the Global South across different policy areas, such as international cooperation, environmental, and economic policies. Currently I'm interested in exploring the effects of intersectional identities, sources of diversity, and the representation of stakeholders in the productivity of cross-sector collaborations. I am also researching the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act - Lieferkettengesetz (LkSG).
As a teacher, I conduct master seminars in strategic planning, performance management, and program evaluation at the Department of Politics and Public Administration.
