Recommendation Letter

All students who

  • have attended at least one seminar/lecture with Prof. Thomann

or

  • are writing or have written their thesis with her

and

  • whose grade point average is 2.0 or better,

can contact Prof. Thomann with a request for expert opinions and letters of recommendation for applications for study places, internships, exchange study places, scholarships, etc..

To do so, please come to the consultation hour once and submit the complete documents (see below) via email latest by the evening before the meeting.

In principle, letters of recommendation can only be prepared in time if the documents are received at least four weeks before the respective submission deadline.

Here you will find documents with useful information and tips about letters of recommendation.

The following documents must be submitted:

  • Curriculum vitae and complete contact details
  • Transcript of records (with grades and grade point average)
  • Description of the application, scholarship or stay abroad (if applicable: concrete project description, information on the degree programme, scholarship, etc.)
  • Forms and questionnaires to be used in the preparation of the evaluation report
  • Information on how the completed evaluation report should be handled (handed over to the applicant or sent directly to the applicant's full address)
  • Information on the submission deadline
